I am a Colorado native, born in Aspen, Colorado, and I grew up in Colorado Springs. I spent 14 years living in the heart of Los Angeles while working in the entertainment industry. During Covid, the city of Angels saw so much decline and decay, it was heartbreaking. My wife and I decided to make a change, so we moved an hour South, where we spent 2 more years living in Newport Beach, California.
We recently relocated back to my home state of Colorado, and I'm amazed at how much this state has grown and changed over the years! I am an avid surfer, and I loved spending so many early mornings surfing in Orange County, but real estate has gone sky-high, with such a limited inventory, and 85% of the community, including most of my friends and clients could no longer even qualify to buy a home in neither OC nor LA. We were also seeing worrisome levels of homelessness and crime, which all factored into our decision to leave California, and rejoin many of our dear friends, family, and community back here in Colorado. I also love to ski/snowboard :)
It feels like such a breath of fresh air to be here, and I'm reminded of just how wonderful Coloradans are. My mortgage broker-owner, (Clear Choice Mortgage & Lending) is licensed to originate home loans anywhere in Colorado, Texas, Florida, California, and Oregon, but I am also personally licensed in both Colorado and California, as an MLO (mortgage loan originator), and I also hold an active California real estate license. I have a background in business and finance, including studying business at the Fowler College of Business at San Diego State University, and I feel my biggest strengths are being a high-energy self-starter, and I keep a very candid and transparent dialogue with all of my clients. My goal is to provide a top-tier level of service, while genuinely rooting for my clients and their best interests, and where the journey into home ownership feels like one alongside a trusted friend, and not just a mortgage broker and realtor.
Homes have seen incredible appreciation over the past 5 years, and the market has been forever changed by the Covid-19 pandemic. Interest rates went from an all-time low in 2021, to notably higher in 2023 touching 8%, and currently we are seeing rates falling slowly back down, currently hovering around 6.5% for a 30-year fixed rate mortgage.
Colorado attracts many of the best home builders, from lower budget homes, townhomes, condos, to award-winning custom luxury homes.
